MyHelmet on show in Material Lab - ISPO Munich

Material Lab

From November 28th to 30th 2023, the "Who's Who" of the sports industry will meet at the annual ISPO Munich to show and experience product innovations and to shape the future of sports together.

Sustainability is undoubtedly of growing importance, not only at ISPO Group, but also in the sports industry. The Sustainability Hub was introduced in 2010 to provide a dedicated space for innovative and impactful solutions in the field of sustainability. In 2023, ISPO Munich wants to go one step further and inspire visitors with this year’s focus topic of the Sustainability Hub: “Circularity”

In the Material Lab, visitors will experience innovative materials in a very tangible way and get inspired by a range of materials made out of agricultural waste, algae, hemp, castor beans, eggs, and many more. The emphasis will be on the circular production process, showcasing the source, intermediary and final materials.

For ISPO Munich 2023, the Circular Experience revolves around one specific circular material: mycelium - the root-like structure of fungi. The Circular Experience will be a curated space where visitors will get the opportunity to learn about the innovative potential of mycelium as a raw material for many industries, including sports. The various steps of the life cycle of mycelium-based products will be shown in an inspirational and tangible way.

As ISPO Munich 2023 approaches, it's clear that the sports industry is poised for a transformative journey towards sustainability and circularity. This year's event is not just about showcasing the future of sports but actively shaping it.'
